Constructing diaphragms using traditional buckets presents considerable limitations. I.CO.P. is equipped for removing watered soil through rotating cutter heads. The slurry is then mixed with bentonite and conveyed to separation plants where the solid part is separated from the fluid, which is then reintroduced in the excavation to progress.

The considerable weight and remarkable dimensions of the trench cutter, which weights from 35 to 50 ton and is over 15 mt long, together with a special system of verticality control, allow the realization of panels with minimum verticality errors even in great depths (over 50 mt) and are helpful when high level of precision and accuracy are required in order to obtain a good result. This technology can be used in any kind of soil, also with strenght parameters.
